The Political Action Group Hoping To Change Campaign Financing

End Citizens United launched during the 2016 campaign elections with the goal of generating millions of dollars for Democratic candidates in the House and Senate. Consisting of small donations, the group managed to raise $2 million and is projected to reach $25 to $30 million. The ultimate goal of the group is to reverse the Citizens United decision passed in 2010 by the Supreme Court. Hoping to end PACs and dark money going into politics, End Citizens United has gathered more than 325,000 people on the groups petition.

While continuing to raise millions in support of campaign finance reform, End Citizens United announced the endorsement of 11 Democratic candidates. To promote campaign finance reform, the group supports candidates who favor reversing the constitutional amendment of Citizens United. With the millions of funds donated, End Citizens United plans on financially backing candidates by producing television ads, polling and direct ads. While a new constitutional amendment hasn’t passed since 1992, the group is working to raise awareness about undisclosed political spending.

Since the start of 2017, the political action group, End Citizens United has raised over $4 million during the first three months. Projections show that the group will collect $35 million by the Congress midterm elections of 2018 according to USA Today. While the average PAC contribution is $12, the group urged its contributors to donate $500,000 towards the campaign of Georgia Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff. Although donations toward ending the Citizens United decision keep pouring in, End Citizens United cannot accept donations over $5,000 from a single donor.

During the first quarter of 2017, PAC contributions consisted of 100,000 people. Of the 100,000 people contributing, 40,000 people donated for the first time. While supporting the campaign of Democrat Jon Ossoff, donations continue to be raised for the 2018 campaigns. End Citizens United could play a major role in the defense of Democratic Senators Sherrod Brown and Jon Tester. While donations are capped off at $5,000 for individual donors, the Democratic supporting group rose to the top ranks of spending for the 2016 elections. For the 2016 elections End Citizens United built ties to over two dozen campaign-finance groups.

End Citizens United: People Who Are Working For The Legal Rights Of A Common Man

In this time when people are such much busy in their circles of life and their problem, there is a team of an expert of still cares for the nation and the future of the American nation. End Citizen Unites the group of individual who have devoted their life to that cause and working very hard so that they can kick out the new trend that is taking over the election system of America.

End Citizen United wanted a system that should be crystal clear and a system that should offer liberty for everyone, especially for a common man. A system that can help everyone to fight for their right and that election should go properly without any foreign investment that’s being done these days so that a person can be hired for the crucial position of government without getting chosen by the nation through the voting system but got chosen due to the worth financial basis.

People these days are using their black money in the advertisement for the fund, and that’s how they are turning their black money into white. ECU is standing in front of such issues so that the government knows that there is no king system and he can’t say whatever they think is right. They must have to follow a system that should be clear enough so that everyone can understand how things are processing.

The decision of Supreme Court in 2010 is also shaded some light in the same issue of foreign investment for the election funding. SC said that such investment is illegal and one should properly investigate before accept any funding because no one who what is the base of funding. Is that a tax paid funding money or someone is trying to convert the black money into white money. Those who don’t know the different black and white money, Black money is that on which tax hasn’t paid to the government and vice versa white is the one on that tax is paid already.

Supreme Court also said that organizations corporation‘s people and the government should allow any individual or company to fund the government without proper verification. That’s the main problem, and that’s the main cause for which End Citizen United is a fight. People at ECU know that if they do not stand now, time is not far when their coming generation will going to see the aftermath of such changes. ECU believes that it is the right of an American citizen to choose the best candidate to run the government and that right should be with common people. No one, even if it is a company of individual who has money, can have the right to decide the future of America or the citizens of America.
